I wrote a story this week about the BMW PAS. Reading the comments, I can see that I didn’t make myself clear. The PAS and the X1 are entirely separate cars. They just happen to launch on the market at roughly the same time, late next year.
The PAS is a sort of 5-series hatchback, with the sloping roofline of an X6, the two-part tailgate of a Skoda Superb and the sliding rear seats of a Citroen Picasso.
The X1 is a slightly smaller X3. Which – phew – is an easier thing to understand. If not to like.
