seem to see way to many rusty vauxhalls on the road that aint even that old doesnt look good for there brand when they seem to look dead by top there 6 or 7 years old, no idea if they new ones will be like that in 6 or 7 years time but alot of them look like there covered in plastics anyways lol…

OH BY THE WAY THE 2 MOST DOMINANT CARS ON THE TRACK ARE FORD AND HOLDEN.HERES A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR AMERICANS WHO THINK HOLDENS ARE NO GOOD AND JUST JUNK.

COMMENTS MADE ABOUT GM AND VAXALL.HERE IN AUSTRALIA COMMODORE SELLS VERY WELL.I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT MOST PEOPLE PREFER COMMODORES TO ANY OTHER CAR HERE BECAUSE PARTS ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE AT A RESONABLE
AFFORDABLE PRICE,THEY LAST LONGER IN OUR CONDITIONS THAN THE JAP CARS,AND IF A EURO CAR WERE TO BREAK DOWN PARTS WOULD COST AN ABSOLUTE FORTUNE TO REPLACE.GM MAYBE AMERICAN BY NAME,BUT OVER HERE ITS NOT KNOWN AS GENERAL MOTORS.ITS ALL AUSSIE
AND WE SIMPLY CALL IT HOLDEN.HOLDEN HAVE SOME BEAUTIFUL CLASSIC MUSCEL CARS LIKE 1964 EH,HOLDEN MONARO,AND THE BEST ONE OF ALL THE COMMODRE LEGEND THE VK GROUP3 SS THAT PETER BROCK WON THE BATHURST 1,000 IN YEARS AGO.EVERYONE THINKS DIFFERENTLY ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR BRAND OF CAR.HAS ANYONE EVER BEEN TO AUSTRAILA?CHECK OUT THIS YEARS BATHURST 1,000 V8 SUPERCAR RACE AND AT THE BASE OF THE MOUNT PANORAMA WHERE THE RACE IS HELD THERE IS THE NATIONAL MOTOR RACING MUSEUM.
IT’S REALLY WORTH A GANDER CAUSE IT HAS ALL THE HISTORY OF EVERY RACE EVER WON AT BATHURST.CHEERS EVERYONE.

I bought a brand new Chevette in 1979 and it proved to be extremely unreliable junk. My sister bought a Ford Escort and it was much better. In 1989 I went to Oklahoma and found that the public believed GM cars were junk and preferred Japanese.
It was the same in Seattle 1996.
If a manufacturer can not match the competition for quality then they go out of business. In the case of GM the death has taken a long time.

As someone who has spent a life time working in the motor industry I’m sorry to see another British name going but, and lets be honest – Vauxhall have built crap for years now. Before anyone says it yes I agree both the Cavalier and original Astras were good cars but that was years ok. The Vectra was appaling, the current Astra has been horifically unreliable: Seriously, I know senior staff at Vauxhall dealer ships who won’t buy Vauxhalls.

The only people who buy Vauxhalls now are Mr Hertz and Mr Avis and they only buy on price.
Anyone can do a better job than GM have and as for there destruction of Saab……..
